Founded in 1993 with the goal of reinvigorating the ages-old art of Iznik tile (a decorative art style that is often found adorning the interiors of mosques throughout the country), the Iznik Foundation provides gorgeously detailed quartz tiles for either private order or architectural projects. The decorative tiles also double in function as a great material for insulation. The Foundation also offers decorative mugs, vases, and bowls that are perfect gift ideas and can be found on their website.
The foundation branches out from tradition by adapting to any style of design a customer may have, whether it be more modern or conventional. Their work can be seen in Wagamamma restaurant in Kanyon, the Istanbul Ritz Carlton Hotel, on the exteriors of memorials in Japan, the Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Mosque in Abu Dhabi, and even an Ottoman-style clock tower in Mexico.
