Located in the charming and historically diverse neighborhood of Kuzguncuk, the Church of Hagios Panteleimon was built in 1821 on the site of a far older church dating back to 550, the period of Emperor Justinian’s reign. This lends it a reputation as one of the oldest churches still in use in Istanbul. The beautifu,l domed bell tower was added in 1911, as made distinct from the different architectural style.
