Another one of Ottoman architect Sinan’s masterpieces, this mosque may be smaller in size but the beautiful interior, covered entirely in Iznik tiles, results in a truly noteworthy internal atmosphere and aesthetic that set it apart from other mosques. It was built in 1563, during a time when Iznik tile art (the common medium for decorating many Ottoman-mosques) was at its peak.
