The Tuğra Restaurant and Lounge, located in the Çırağan Palace Kempinski, the lavish Imperial Ottoman Palace & Hotel on the edges of the Bosphorus, will present a special mantı (Turkish ravioli) menu during the month of September.
The menu covers mantı back to front, and starts with Nohutlu Mantı Çorbası (chickpea-mantı soup) dashed with red pepper sauce and peppermint. Getting into the main dishes, there can be found a number of mantı iterations, including Pileli Mantı, which features yogurt, tomatoes, potatoes, onions, and cheese. Saçaklı Mantı will also be on offer, its recipe including fresh chicken from the Thracian region along with garlic yogurt sauce. Finally, you’ll find Paşa Mantısı, a version of the dish that holds large, oven-baked pieces of baked lamb. For the right finish, the restaurant will serve up Bohça Baklavası, a type of mantı-based baklava hailing from the Kayseri region of Turkey that incorporates kaymak (walnut cream) and butter in its preparation. For those new to the dish and mantı lovers alike, it’s a menu not to miss.
Tuğra Restaurant will open their doors at 7:00pm nightly for the duration of the month, with their seaside Lounge opening an hour earlier should you wish to grab a drink before the meal.
