Being able to sit down outside has become a rarity in the neighborhood of Beyoğlu. Ever since the tables and chairs were banned from the outside area in the compact Asmalı Mescit streets, crowds have consequently moved away seeking a place to rest their wandering limbs. Chapelle is that refuge, located in a courtyard where there is an enviable amount of free space.
Connected to the newly opened Rixos Pera Hotel, Chapelle is composed of both an indoor and outdoor area. Inside, a rustic Brooklyn-like feel is bestowed upon a space of tiled walls and mahogany facades. Outside, the true gem of the restaurant and bar’s worth is visible, with white wicker chairs and small planted mandarin trees. The best part is the gate that is always open to the side street leading curious gazes in, and allowing them to take a seat and enjoy the sitting position in a locale both breezy and tranquil.
The name Chapelle is derived from the actual chapel situated inside the locale that makes for a most unique bit of decoration. An international menu is accompanied by a full bar that serves up a range of cocktails and classics on the rocks. Meşrutiyet Caddesi, No 44, Beyoğlu; P: (0212) 377 70 00
