Revolution Revelation at Borusan Music House

Talya Arditi / July 06, 2012

Art, music, and spirituality come together in Revolution Revelation, a very special exhibition that will be showcased again at the Borusan Music House in September. Spread over six floors, Revolution Revelation is a visual and sensual feast by Turkish musician and artist Arkın Allen, widely known as Mercan Dede who created this exhibition on site with long-time friend Carlito Dalceggio. The space brings together works of paint on canvas, mixed technique, installation, and video. One of the most impressive pieces is the monumental Buddha on the second floor. The third floor serves as a meditation space where visitors can sit on cushions and listen to the moving music while staring at the Buddha.

The title of the exhibition expresses the revolution in terms of a new perception devoid of the ego and the masks fitted by modern society and the revelation as the internal change that then occurs.
