Combining homey food and a cozy atmosphere, Yeniköy Lokantası has recently opened as a small eatery on the second floor of a building behind Yeniköy Port. Ditch the menu and ask for the daily zeytinyağlı (olive oil) dishes. Produce comes from the Aegean region, is picked in season and preserved for winter. Seasonal greens like pazı (chard) are a great side dish. The restaurant follows the slow food trend and keeps everything as natural as possible – like homemade yogurt accompanying the lightest mücver (zucchini fritters) in the city.
