Countless people around the globe spend a large part of every day in office buildings, shopping centers, and other commerce-oriented locales. This show entitled Mutluluk Fabrikaları (Happiness Factories), at Teşvikiye’s Galeri Işık, organized with the partnership of VitrA and the Türk Serbest Mimarlar Derneği (Turkish Independent Architects’ Association), focuses on the commercial structures of everyday life in contemporary society. The show, curated by the architect Saitali Köknar and coordinated by Pelin Derviş, features research and commentary by a team of 14 architects, on display in a series of mobile boxes.
