The Turkish title of Murat Durusoy’s new exhibit at Akaretler’s C.A.M. Gallery is Seyir, a word which can be variously translated as “journey,” “watching,” and “daydream.” The digitally-altered photographs in Durusoy’s exhibit – with their flouting of the laws of continuity and perspective – are proof that observation is not a discrete event but ongoing journey whose destination can never be reached.
