Alper Bıçaklıoğlu’s Yasal Sokak (Legal Street) at Beşiktaş’s Mabeyn Gallery (the artist’s fourth solo show), offers a pop-art / street art view of the violent political events of the 20th (and 21st) century. Bıçaklıoğlu’s work – utilizing graffiti, stencils, stickers, and collages made from books and magazines – is best seen up close via a visit to the gallery.
